Brief About the Event:
Under the UK-India Technical Assistance Programme on “Accelerating Smart Power and Renewable Energy” (ASPIRE), the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Government of UK in partnership with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, organised a webinar on "Opportunities for Low-Emission Bulk Drying Technology to Decarbonise the Cement Sector" on December 13th, 2023. The UK-based technology company Coomtech described its innovative low-emission kinetic air-drying technology in the webinar. The webinar, attended by over 35 representatives from leading Indian cement companies, successfully achieved the following goals:
- Shared details of the innovative low carbon drying technology offered by Coomtech that can be leveraged by Indian industries for Industrial Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation.
- Explored Indian industries' perspectives on necessary support for wider technology adoption.
- Identified potential partnership opportunities between UK technology providers and Indian industries.
